FAM is all about events that change lives! Whether a Christmas party to give gifts to hundreds of underprivileged children, a Thanksgiving dinner, or a Gala to raise funds to end hunger and homelessness in our community, FAM hosts dozens of events each year.
Here is a summary of just a few of our annual events.
We know you share our concern for hungry neighbors in our South Orange County community. The Annual FAM Hunger Walk fundraiser is a fun walk beginning and ending at the San Clemente Community Center. The FAM Board of Directors and staff invite you to participate in our Walk by signing up and helping us raise money, becoming an official sponsor or making a donation.
For nearly 30 years this walk has raised funds to help prevent hunger and homelessness in Orange County. In 2017 we aim to gather more people than ever to raise money for those FAM serves. We will be calling on individuals, businesses, schools, and faith communities to form “FAM Clubs” to help us in our mission!
In 2017, FAM will hold its 30th Annual Hunger Walk. Come join our 30th as we walk to end hunger in South Orange County! More information about the 2017 Hunger Walk will be posted here when it becomes available.
We are so pleased to be in the early stages of our first blockbuster FAM Gala! We are working hard on making it an elegant night of fun, as we focus on FAM’s mission to our community!
In addition to our normal Monday through Friday hours, we also open our doors on the second Saturday of every month. We provide food, and also a particular special need. Past events have included free backpacks for kids, medical supplies, and flu shots.
Bringing joy and comfort to children is at the heart of FAM. Each Easter, we gather hundreds of underprivileged families for a pancake breakfast, followed by Easter basket give aways and an Easter egg hunt!
Held each fall, this is one of our premiere events for business and community leaders. Check back for details!
We host a Thanksgiving Eve meal that feeds well over 500 needy people in our community each year. We provide a warm home-cooked dinner, meals to go, and live music in a warm family environment.
In 2015, we made Christmas possible for hundreds of children, many of whom would have received no gifts. Over 1,000 children saw Santa, ate cookies and drank hot cocoa, because of the generosity of our donors.
