• It often surprises people to know that even in affluent South Orange County hunger is a very real issue.
• Currently, FAM provides food and assistance to approximately 2400 individuals each month. As the economy continues to decline, the numbers continue to grow.
• Last year FAM redistributed over $2.5 million in food to the hungry in our community!
2013 marks the 26th Hunger Walk to benefit FAM! The 2013 Hunger Walk will be held on October 20th, 2013. Online registration - Date TBD - Check back this summer.
We know that you share our concern for those in need in our community. The FAM Board of Directors and staff would like to invite you to participate in our annual event by becoming an official sponsor of our walk. As a sponsor, you will receive recognition in our promotional materials to include the event program, FAM website and an opportunity to be included on the event t-shirt. There are many ways that you, your business, and/or your civic group can get involved to help battle the hunger in our midst.
We need you to raise funds for your hungry neighbors by getting friends, neighbors and relatives to sponsor you. Join us and walk on Sunday, October 20th. Check-in at 12:30-1:30pm; the walk kicks off at 2:00pm at the San Clemente Community Center 100 North Calle Seville, San Clemente (Click here for map).
